Assessments for IB Diploma Programme

For students seeking admission to the IB Diploma Programme at NIS, the assessment process focuses on academic readiness, learner disposition, and alignment with the International Baccalaureate Learner Profile. Along with a review of academic records, assessments and interactions evaluate critical thinking, research skills, academic English, and the ability to connect learning across subjects. Emphasis is also placed on qualities of a lifelong learner, curiosity, independence, resilience, reflection, and openness to growth, ensuring students are prepared for the rigour and holistic expectations of the IB Diploma Programme.

For students seeking admission to NIS, the assessment process includes CPSQ, which helps identify a student’s learning strengths, cognitive skills, and approach to problem-solving. CPSQ supports the school in understanding a learner’s readiness for concept-based learning, adaptability, and independent thinking.
