Assessments for Middle School

For students seeking admission to Middle School at NIS, the assessment model is designed to holistically understand a learner’s readiness for the Cambridge curriculum. NIS uses INCAS, Insight and MIDYIS as a baseline assessment to evaluate students’ developed abilities, aptitude, and learning potential rather than rote knowledge alone. This is complemented by a review of academic records and interactions to assess English proficiency, reasoning skills, and conceptual understanding. The process aligns with the expectations of Cambridge Assessment International Education, which emphasise critical thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to apply knowledge independently, ensuring students are well-prepared for a smooth transition into the Cambridge learning environment.
