IBDP Students Celebrate Children’s Day with Mosaic Art
To celebrate Children’s Day, IBDP 1 students engaged in a hands-on CAS experience creating mosaic tile art. The objective was to explore a new artistic technique while fostering creativity, collaboration, and celebration.
Using colorful ceramic tiles and cardboard bases, students designed their own mosaics, then mixed and applied Plaster of Paris to secure the tiles. Working with the fast-drying material required time management, precision, and teamwork.
Despite the challenges of handling unfamiliar materials, the celebratory atmosphere enhanced the learning experience.
