As part of their CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) journey, a group of IBDP students designed and created a large-scale mural on the 8th floor of the school. This collaborative art piece pays tribute to the IBDP journey, celebrating the values of growth, knowledge, and community through a symbolic rendition of The Giving Tree.
The project began with weeks of ideation, design planning, and material sourcing, eventually evolving into a visually rich and meaningful mural that blends mosaic, 3D elements, and traditional painting techniques. Students demonstrated creative thinking, problem-solving, and time management—especially while balancing this initiative alongside academic responsibilities.
Beyond artistic expression, the mural became a powerful lesson in teamwork, perseverance, and ethical reflection. Students navigated the challenges of large-scale public art, coordinated across schedules, and remained committed to the project even during exam seasons. The experience helped them recognize their individual strengths, develop collaborative skills, and leave behind a lasting legacy for future IBDP cohorts.
This mural stands not only as an artwork, but as a testament to the personal growth and resilience fostered by the CAS programme.
